The IRS does not enforce a controlled vocabulary for job titles. A club might write “Hd Golf Pro”, “Golf Professional”, “Head Pro.”, or “Director of Golf Operations” to mean the same person. We map every observed raw title variant to a single canonical role name — so benchmarks cover all clubs that employ the role, regardless of what they call it.
Each figure is the sum of reportable compensation (W-2 / 1099) plus any compensation from related organizations, as reported on Part VII. Benefits, deferred compensation, and non-reportable perks are a separate column and not included here. Figures cover only individuals the club identified by name — a club with fewer than five highly paid employees may omit some staff.
