Short version: we collect
your email. That’s it.

We have built this site to require as little personal information as possible. If you never subscribe to The Quarterly, the only personal data we hold about you is none: page views are counted anonymously, without cookies, and cannot be traced back to you. If you do subscribe, we collect your email address — and use it only to send the newsletter.

Effective date: 1 May 2026

What we collect

and why

The only personal data we actively collect is an email address, and only if you voluntarily subscribe to The Quarterly newsletter via a form on this site. Providing your email is entirely optional — every page of this site is accessible without sharing any personal information.

We do not operate user accounts, require registration, collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment information. We do not ask for anything beyond an email.

The Quarterly newsletter

how subscriptions work

If you subscribe, we use your email address to send The Quarterly — a newsletter covering country club financial filings, compensation movements, and data from IRS Form 990 returns. It is issued up to four times per year. We do not send promotional emails on behalf of third parties, sell your email address, or rent it to marketing lists.

Technical note

Form submissions on this site are processed by Web3Forms (web3forms.com), a form-to-email service. When you submit your email, Web3Forms receives it, stores it on AWS-hosted infrastructure for up to 30 days, and forwards it to us. Web3Forms may share IP addresses with spam-prevention services. Their privacy policy governs their handling of your data.

Unsubscribing

one click · always honored

Every issue of The Quarterly includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from our list. You may also request removal at any time by emailing hello@countryclubintel.com. We will honor all unsubscribe requests promptly.

Website hosting

Vercel · server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel (vercel.com). Vercel automatically collects server access logs — including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and request timestamps — for operational, security, and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are governed by Vercel’s privacy policy. We do not use server logs for marketing or behavioral profiling.

Cookies and tracking

what we use · what we don't

We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking, and we do not use advertising networks. We have not deployed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any comparable cross-site tracking service.

We do use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, assigns you no persistent identifier, and cannot follow you to other websites. It records the page visited and coarse technical details — referrer, country, browser and device type — which Vercel aggregates into counts. We use it to learn which pages are useful, not to profile readers, and we cannot use it to identify you.

Vercel’s infrastructure may set technical cookies for security and performance purposes (such as bot detection and load balancing). These are operational and not used to identify or profile individual users.

Data about organizations

not individuals

The financial data published on this site relates to organizations — country clubs — not to individuals. Where named individuals appear (for example, officers listed in Form 990 Part VII disclosures), this reflects information the organization itself was required by law to disclose publicly in its IRS filing. We republish such information consistent with its public record status.

We are not subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) because we do not compile or sell information about individuals for use in credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions. Our data is about nonprofit organizations, not consumer credit profiles.

If you have subscribed to The Quarterly, you may at any time:

  • Request accessEmail us to confirm what data we hold about you (your email address).
  • Request correctionEmail us if your address has changed.
  • Request deletionEmail us to remove your address entirely from our records.

EU / GDPR

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing your email address is your freely given consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

Children

under 13

This site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us so we may delete it.

Changes to this policy

how we notify

We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected in a revised effective date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively reduce your rights under any policy in effect at the time your data was collected without obtaining fresh consent.
